This month there are 3 camps (one to begin tomorrow). The first one from August 10-15, was a revisit after many yearsof two couples who are professional clowns. They now are married, and have 2 children each. It has been a long time since have been using their talents, so they wanted to return to Croatia, to re-visit their past, this time together with their children. It was a wonderful experience for all!

The next camp was a new group from Mezzolombardo, Italy (near Trento) led by Don Michele, who had previously visited with the Cloz group, plus some young people from Trento who weren’t able to attend the other camps this year. This camp lasted from Aug 16-23.

They created a mural in another kindergarden, continued some yard work in Veprinac, besides some painting and fixing in the Lovran orphanage and Koraci center, and performed a “Flash Mob/Free Hugs” in Opatija which was a tremendous success, not to speak of visiting needy families in the Karlovac area. They even painted a mural in the childrens’ room in refugee Barbara’s house. They also performed a show for the seniors’ center “Nada” in Vojnič.

And last, but not least, each group had a special treat: pizza! Made in our new pizza oven made by last years’ volunteers!

The next camp, starting tomorrow will be heading down to Mostar and Sarajevo where they will lend a hand to our volunteers there! More news on the way.
