First Quarter 2021
On December 29, 2020, Croatia was hit by a devastating magnitude 6.4 earthquake, which claimed seven lives, left many injured and thousands found themselves without a roof over their heads.
During the first three months of this year we took five trips to the affected area. Thanks to the help of many friends we were able to bring and distribute food and hygiene packages to 144 families, and help a family with two children and another one on the way to fix up their bathroom and kitchen.
We tried to spend time with everyone and listen to their stories, which turned out to be one of the most appreciated aspects of our visits.
In January, thanks to the ending of the lockdown between regions, we were able to visit some families in the Karlovac area.
In March, Anna and several volunteers spent two weeks in Bosnia to help with the difficult situation with migrants.
