Open Doors Camp July 22-28
Even this year, despite rushing to finish our center, we held an international camp with participants from England, Romania, Germany, Hungary and Italy. We were i10 nationalities, coming from different cultures and social backgrounds, but united by the common goal of dedicating the week to make the difference and deepen a path of solidarity.
On the morning of the first day of work we started the murals project in a kindergarden where we restored a mural began some years. Other walls, covered with graffiti, have received new colors.
On the second day, as we continued painting we were able to play with the children. The teachers were enthusiastic and very grateful for the positive change made in these two days of intense work.
The evenings were devoted to discussing the “question of the day” which was picked in the morning, to learn Croatian songs, to play together and to practice for Flash Mob Dance.
We made a humanitarian trip to the Karlovac area and brought happy, smiling clowns to the Seniors home in Nedeščina.
