This year started out with a bang! Literally! We had a winter camp from December 31-January 5. With 30 attendees we had a rousing and meaningful New Years Celebration, then on the first of January we all went to the Karlovac area where we brought aid, songs, hugs and joy! A group of Clowns from Torino performed with Tony as MC at Centar Nada in Vojnić, while other teams went to visit families. Later one team did a mural in D.V. Vidrice, another day artistic painting in Dom za odgoj, and another team went to Delnice where we fixed and painted rooms. We had a workshop with Lidija, and also did local visitation.
We also began a new series of shows this year, the story of “Change the World.” We performed so far in D.V. Snjegulica, D.V. Podmurvice and D.V. Belveder. We also made balloons for a few schools, and prep0ared the D.V. Podmurvice for their Carneval parade by painting the faces of teachers, parents and children. For the first time we had a “Skating Clown” at the Tower Center, where we also face-painted during a Children’s Carneval Singing Contest.
And last but not least, on the last day of the month we took Elena and Ivan (who has had a lot of problems with depression in the past, but has been coming to help when we have pizza parties) to the Karlovac area where we visited families and brought aid. A very busy month indeed!
