Summer Camps 2015 Part 2
During the month of August we had 4 more camps: Mezzolombardo Camp, August 3-9, Family Camp, August 11-15, Denno Camp, August 17-23, and finally Cloz Camp, August 24-30.
Once again we painted murals, landscaped the fish pond nearby, fixed up and painted refugee’s houses, performed Clown Therapy for the needy, brought food, love, music, prayers and ourselves to needy refugee families in the Karlovac area, and last, but not least, our Flash Mob/Free Hugs to not only Croatia, but Bosnia as well.
(Also included was swimming, ping pong, calcetto and pizza parties!)
One of the most rewarding times is the last meeting, where everyone shares their experience the past week and their hopes and dreams for the future:during the Family Camp, one of the parents, Andrea summed it all up — “Yes, this was a wonderful experience, but what do we do now, once we get home? How can we continue?”
Well put Andrea, that’s the whole idea of the camps! Towards the end of the final meeting, each group “brainstormed” about what they can do in their town, work, school, etc.
We are looking forward to see what the future holds for all of you!
